Barcelona are cruising with a 3-0 half-time lead over Celta. The visitors have looked good, taking an early lead through Fati’s curling effort before Busquets doubled the lead from the edge of the box. Depay then glanced on Alba’s cross to give them a three-goal cushion. Celta have had a couple of half-chances down the other end, with Aspas and Galan both dragging shot wide.

    Jordi Alba

    Yellow Card

45′ Alba is booked for dissent.

45′ Fati was chasing Alba’s throughball down the middle and pulled up as his hamstring went. The medical team are on, but it looks like that’s the end of his game.

43′ CHANCE! Celta go straight down the other end and Aspas finds himself in a pocket of space on the edge of the box again. He picks out Galan, who tries to curl it into the near post, but picks out the side netting instead.

42′ It’s messy on the edge of Celta’s box as the visitors try to bundle it into the area. Fati and Depay both have passes blocked by Celta defenders before Murillo clears it ahead of Gavi.

40′ Fati is just off the pitch getting strapped up after it looks like his hand was accidentally stepped on after that last shot. He looks to be in quite a bit of pain, but he’s coming back on after finishing his treatment.

39′ Barcelona are getting so much joy down their left side as De Jong pulls a good cross back from the byline this time. Fati reaches it on the stretch and pokes it across goal, but it’s always heading wide.

    A. Solari

    Yellow Card

    Celta de Vigo

37′ Solari tries to catch out Fati with a high press, but catches him with a late tackle instead to have his name taken by the referee.

36′ It’s better from Celta now as they knock the ball around in midfield and patiently try to open up the hosts. It’s worked through to Nolito, but again, he takes too long to make a pass and Mingueza wins it back.

    Jordi Alba

34′ Alba had all sorts of space down the left again and Celta didn’t get anywhere near him to prevent the cross from going into the middle.

    M. Depay

34′ DEPAY SCORES! Celta are just cut open as Barcelona move it upfield with a good passage of play. It’s worked out to Alba on the left and his cross is curled onto Depay’s head. He glances it on, past Dituro and into the far bottom corner. 3-0 Barca!

33′ GREAT CHANCE! The corner is whipped in by Aspas and Aidoo flicks it on from the penalty spot. Galhardo is unmarked at the far post but slices at his effort, sending it high and wide.

31′ CLOSE! Aspas steps up to take the free-kick that he won through the middle. He goes for power, drilling his shot around the inside of the wall towards the near post. He can’t get his angles right though and sends it just wide.

    Eric García

    Yellow Card

29′ Garcia clips the back of Aspas after stretching to try and intercept the pass. He’s late and he’s shown the first yellow card of the game.

28′ There’s a half-hearted penalty shout from Galhardo as him and Lenglet fall to the ground just inside the box as Galan loops in a cross. The referee doesn’t see it that way, awarding a free-kick to the visitors.

26′ Celta break quickly on the counter, with Suarez playing a great ball through to Nolito. He carries it a long way and has Aspas sprinting up in support. He takes too long to get it out of his feet though and Lenglet wins it back.

24′ Barcelona are still dominating possession here and Celta just can’t get out of their own half. There’s a few needless fouls from the hosts as well, with De Jong the latest player to be brought down on the left.

22′ Tapia has hold of Gonzalez as he drags him back to stop his run, but is caught in the face by his elbow. He stays down so the referee goes over to check on him, but he gets back to his feet without needing treatment.

20′ NO GOAL! Again, Celta catch Barca out by going for the more direct route to goal. It’s threaded through for Aspas and he turns Busquets to get into the box. He slots the ball into the net, but the whistle had already gone as he’s judged to have fouled the midfielder.

    Nico González

18′ Gonzalez managed to stay on his feet after being caught by Mallo and does well to pull a cross back from the byline. It’s behind everyone in the box, but is into the right place for Busquets.

    Sergio Busquets

18′ BUSQUETS SCORES! It’s a good cross by Gonzalez and Busquets is allowed to run onto it at the edge of the box with no challenge. Murillo is slow to get out to him so he has time to take a touch and curl a low shot into the bottom-right corner. 2-0 Barca!

17′ After being penned back in their own half again, Tapia decides to go long again with an outball for Aspas to chase. He brings it down ahead of Garcia, but the touch is a heavy one and he can’t keep it in at the byline.

15′ Barcelona are on the attack again here as Depay drives forward down the left. He has three to aim for in the middle, but Aidoo is tight to him and eventually blocks the cross into the box.

13′ It’s another good bit of play from Fati down the left until his cross to Depay is cut out. He tries to make amends by following it in, but fouls Murillo in the process to give away a free-kick.

11′ Solari whips a brilliant, dangerous cross in from the right and Galhardo can’t reach it on the stretch. Nolito is in acres of space at the far post, but Gonzalez tracks back to head it out for a corner as he sets himself for the volley.

9′ Gonzalez loses out to Aidoo, whose first thought is to go long towards Aspas. He’s bundled over by Lenglet as the ball bounces in front of them, but no free-kick is given to the home fans’ frustration.

7′ That goal has breathed some life into Barcelona who are now pushing forward with much more intent. It’s switched out to Fati on the left again, but this time he sets off too early and the flag goes up.

    Jordi Alba

5′ It was a perfectly weighted throughball from Alba into Fati down the left to get the winger in behind Celta.

    Ansu Fati

5′ FATI SCORES! It’s a perfectly timed run from him down the left, and it looks like Mallo has him covered, but the winger cuts inside from the byline. He curls his shot around the defender and into the far bottom corner for his second goal in as many games. 1-0 Barca!

4′ Barcelona are struggling to deal with Celta’s high press at the moment and Mingueza plays himself into trouble. He tries to dribble past Galan when he’s dispossessed and gets lucky as he wins a free-kick.

2′ CLOSE! Celta go for the direct approach as Nolito cushions the ball into Aspas’ path. Barca are asking for offside, but he times his run perfectly and takes a shot just inside the box. He goes for the near post, but it curls just wide.

1′ Depay gets the game underway for Barcelona!

The teams are out on the pitch now, with kick-off just moments away!

Barcelona have failed to win their last three LaLiga games (D1 L2), and they’ve lost their last two away from home without scoring – they last lost three consecutive away league games in December 2002 (three).

Barcelona have a lot of injury trouble at the moment so Barjuan names an unchanged side to the one that beat Dynamo on Tuesday in the Champions League, with Fati leading the line after scoring the winner in that match.

Eduardo Coudet makes five changes from the draw with Rayo Vallecano last time out, bringing in Mallo, Aidoo, Solari, Nolito and Aspas. Vazquez, Araujo and Beltran drop to the bench, Santi Mina is injured and Brais Mendes misses out through suspension.

This morning, Barcelona confirmed that ex-player Xavi will be taking over as first-team coach after Ronald Koeman’s sacking just over a week ago. Caretaker manager Sergi Barjuan is at the helm for one last time today though and has won one and drawn one of the games since taking over, with that win their first away from home this season (1-0 v Dynamo Kiev). As for Celta, they’ve struggled this season; they’ve won just three of their 12 games (D2 L7), with only one of those coming at home.
